Dr. Deborah McArthur, DVM
Dr. McArthur grew up on the west side of Cincinnati where she attended Oak Hills High School. Since the age of 10, she had her heart set on becoming a veterinarian and caring for animals. After graduation, she briefly became a Hoosier - electing to go to Butler University in Indianapolis for her undergraduate studies. While there, she took advantage of the opportunity to study abroad and spent a year in Lausanne, Switzerland improving her French speaking skills. It was in Indiana where she also fell in love with elephants - volunteering at the Indianapolis Zoo and doing behavior observation sessions for the psychology department at Butler. To this day, she continues to collect elephant figurines and has over 800 in her home and at work.
In 1993, she enrolled in Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine in Lafayette, Indiana. She chose a mixed animal track to become well versed in both large and small animals. She also became fascinated with reproduction - especially after assisting one of her classmates with his English Bulldog's pregnancy.
After graduating from Purdue in 1997, she returned to Cincinnati to practice locally for awhile, dabbling in mixed animal practice in Indiana, before becoming a full time veterinarian at Peach Grove. She has worked here since November, 1998 and is currently the proud owner of the clinic. She hopes to continue the excellent tradition of quality, compassionate care for all of her clients' pets and has her very hard working staff to commend on making the practice a joy to come to work to each day. She is currently a member of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association (of which she is past president), the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (where she served on the Disaster Preparedness Committee), and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is also a member of the Society for Theriogenologists (those veterinarians who have a special interest in animal reproduction).
When she's not hanging out at the hospital, she enjoys traveling both across the United States and abroad. She is an avid reader of mysteries and fiction. She also sings in a local Sweet Adelines group known as the Cincinnati Sound Chorus - a women's 4 part harmony barbershop style choir with women of all ages. She has a house full of elephants that she shares with her five cats.

Dr. Genevieve Bergman, DVM
Dr. Bergman grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota and began riding horses at the age of 5 with her mother, a horse trainer. Throughout elementary, high school and into college, she rode Arabian horses and competed at a national level. While she enjoyed many disciplines, her favorite was saddleseat especially when riding Casey who was at her side for 25 years. It was through her time at the horsebarn that Dr. Bergman?s love for animals developed.
In 1998, she enrolled at the University of Minnesota as a marketing major. But, after studying abroad in Bristol, England, she knew she had to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She changed her major to Biology as soon as she returned to the USA, and immediately began working at small animal clinics and shadowing equine veterinarians.
Dr. Bergman completed her veterinary degree in 2010 at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, she completed a veterinary internship at Stillwater Equine Veterinary Hospital. She spent the next 5 years working as a veterinarian in Minnesota until moving to Cincinnati in 2015. She is excited to join the amazing staff at Peach Grove Animal Hospital. She is looking forward to meeting you and your pets and helping you care for your pets.
In her time away from the veterinary hospital, Dr. Bergman enjoys spending time with her husband, Gabe and 2 young daughters, Penelope and Lily. She has Hazel, a Doberman/Lab and 2 cats, Sven and Zeus. Dr. Bergman loves cooking and time outdoors gardening. She still rides regularly but is now trying a turn in the Hunter/Jumper arena.
